Cassie Ahiers is a director, writer, and comedian from Minnesota. After completing a degree in Theater Directing from Columbia College Chicago, she became active in the city’s comedy community. As an improviser, she trained and performed at The Second City, iO, Annoyance, and Revival Theater, as well as toured the country for various comedy festivals.

 

As a director, she has created multiple web series, sketch shows, short films, original musicals, and even ran a DIY comedy club in the unfinished basement of a chicago brownstone. As a teacher she has taught students from ages 4 to 80 and from beginners to conservatory grads and even a few lawyers who didn't want to be there. In 2016, she became a director for the Second City's National Touring company and in 2019 she moved to Los Angeles to work as an acting coach for Nickelodeon (and to see the sun again.)

 

Her family nickname is “Walleye Queen,” which is a fishing joke, in case you had any doubts about just how midwestern she is. Cassie is thrilled to be teaching at Improv-LA!
