Intro to Voice Over: Level 1 

Online Group Class Description

​

This four-week course is geared towards anyone interested in learning the

foundation of voice over technique. Throughout the class we’ll cover: 

​

  • Introduction to VO Commercials & Animation 

  • Getting comfortable with the copy/scripts

  • How to inject your own personality 

  • Finding Confidence behind the mic 

  • How to use improv for Voice Over
     

Class will include a mock VO commercial audition as well as a simulated animation episode session!

 

No prior improv or VO training necessary. Computer mic okay to use if you don’t have additional equipment. 

Class Size: 10 students; everyone will get plenty of individual attention.

Length: Sessions run 2 hours each, and meet for 4 weeks over zoom

Online via Zoom
All students will require a free Zoom account, strong internet connection, webcam and mic (built-in is just fine!)

The Teacher: Daniel Cohen

​

Daniel is a voice actor based in Los Angeles with an extensive improv background. He’s trained at The Groundlings Theater, the Upright Citizens Brigade, and iOWest. Daniel has a BFA in Acting from Emerson College and has studied Voice Over from Mick Wingert, Richard Horvitz, and Nancy Wolfson. 

 

Daniel has worked in Animation, Voice Dubbing, Commercials, and Video games. He’s currently cast in Lego City Adventures on Nickelodeon, as well Lucy WOW on the GoKidGo podcast network. Previous voice credits include Neon Genesis Evangelion and Cagaster of an Insect Cage.
