Improv to Voice Over: Level Up

Online Group Class Description

​

In this class we’ll work on character building and analysis while learning mic technique.

We'll review of Commercials, Animation, and Video Games with a focus on rounding out our characters.

Suited for anyone with prior experience looking to step-up their VO game.

​

Prerequisites:

Basic microphone setup needed

Previous Voice Over experience suggested but not required.

 

Class Size: 10 students, everyone will get plenty of individual attention.

Length: Sessions run 2 hours each, and meet for 4 weeks over Zoom

All students will require a free Zoom account, strong internet connection, webcam and mic (built-in is just fine!).

The Teacher: Daniel Cohen

​

Daniel is a voice actor based in Los Angeles with an extensive improv background. He’s trained at The Groundlings Theater, the Upright Citizens Brigade, and iOWest. Daniel has a BFA in Acting from Emerson College and has studied Voice Over from Mick Wingert, Richard Horvitz, and Nancy Wolfson. 

 

Daniel has worked in Animation, Voice Dubbing, Commercials, and Video games. He’s currently cast in Lego City Adventures on Nickelodeon, as well Lucy WOW on the GoKidGo podcast network. Previous voice credits include Neon Genesis Evangelion and Cagaster of an Insect Cage.
